Life in the Kingdom of God

Kingdom of God

Filed In

Life in the Kingdom of God begins with a conscious decision to submit to His will and follow biblical principles. When we align our lives with God’s ways, we unlock access to His power, provision, and guidance. But what does this truly mean for our daily walk with Him?

Understanding The Power of Christ

Jesus once said, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures or the power of God.” (Matthew 22:29 NIV). His mission on earth was clear: to do the will of His Father. This included healing the sick, casting out demons, and ultimately laying down His life for our sins. Through His obedience, Jesus demonstrated the ultimate power of God—His resurrection.

As Jesus said, “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4 KJV).

By submitting to God’s authority, Jesus set the perfect example of how we, too, can live a life of divine power. The question is, will we choose to follow Him?

The Choice To Follow Christ

Jesus challenges us directly when He asks, “Why do you call me Lord, and do not do as I say?” (Luke 6:46 NIV)

If we sincerely seek His truth in Scripture, we must then make a decision—will we follow His will or our own? Choosing Christ is not just about belief; it requires transformation. This transformation happens through the Holy Spirit, who makes us new creations in Christ.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3 KJV).

This spiritual rebirth changes how we understand Scripture. No longer is it just knowledge in our minds—it becomes truth in our hearts. The Holy Spirit brings clarity, conviction, and the power to live out God’s Word.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26 NIV).

The Kingdom of God: A Place of Miracles

One of the most profound truths of Scripture is that the Kingdom of God is already here! When we are born again, we enter into His spiritual kingdom—a place of healing, abundance, and divine provision.

As Paul reminds us, “And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:6 AMP).

Through prayer and faith in Jesus, we gain direct access to God’s power, His wisdom, and His protection. Jesus is the gateway to the Father, and through Him, we are invited into an intimate relationship where we can seek divine intervention.

The Power of Prayer and Kingdom Blessings

When we submit fully to Christ, we step into a position of spiritual authority. This means our prayers become more effective, leading to real, tangible miracles.

For example, if a mother prays for her daughter to find a godly husband, she can stand on the promise of Genesis 1:28:

“Lord, You said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth…’ Therefore, I ask that my daughter finds a godly husband so they may fulfill Your Word.”

Or, if someone is seeking guidance for their future, they can pray:

“Lord, You said, ‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.’ (Jeremiah 29:11) Please reveal Your plans for me and lead me in the right direction.”

However, when we resist God’s ways, we create unnecessary struggles. God cannot bless decisions that contradict His will. True success comes when we align ourselves with His divine order.

Faith: The Key to Walking in God’s Blessings

Choosing Christ requires faith—not just intellectual agreement. God’s ways often seem counterintuitive, but they always lead to the best possible outcome.

As John 3:18 states, “He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Our faith is anchored in Jesus, who is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6). He is more than a teacher—He is the very Word of God in human form.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1).

Just as God led the Israelites to the Promised Land, He leads us toward our blessings today. But like the ten spies who doubted God’s power, many fail to claim His promises due to fear and disbelief.

Submission to God’s Will Unlocks His Blessings

Unlike our limited human understanding, God sees the full picture. His commands are designed for our good—to bring peace, provision, and protection. Consider these biblical principles:

Mutual submission in marriage (Ephesians 5:21-33)
Honoring parents (Exodus 20:12)
Tithing faithfully (Malachi 3:10)
Forgiving others to receive forgiveness (Ephesians 4:32)
Trusting in God’s plan, even when unclear (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Each act of obedience brings us closer to experiencing God’s kingdom blessings.

Final Thoughts: Will You Choose the Kingdom Life?

So, what will you choose? Will you submit to God and lead your family to do the same?

When we become doers of the Word, rather than just hearers, the Holy Spirit gains more of our hearts. This leads us to a life of continual blessings, peace, and powerful prayers.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24 NIV).

God designed the family and desires to bless those who walk in His ways. The choice: Will you step into the Kingdom of God and experience its power?
