Welcome to My Blog
God’s relentless love for us is evident throughout the Old Testament, as seen in the lives of our ancestors.
Time and again, God demonstrated His power through miracles, yet many struggled to fully trust Him. The same struggle continues today—we hold tightly to control over our lives, hesitant to surrender our decisions to the Lord. Unfortunately, this limits us from reaching our full, God-given potential. However, when we approach the Bible with a sincere heart, the Holy Spirit illuminates Scripture, guiding us toward wisdom. When Scripture speaks to our hearts, we develop a desire to follow its truths. Walking in God’s wisdom protects us, leads to blessings, and ensures a flourishing life.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
Biblical examples such as Adam and Eve and the ten spies who doubted God’s promise remind us of the consequences of holding onto control. They ignored God’s commands or treated His Word as a mere suggestion. However, Scripture reveals that God means exactly what He says. His ways may seem counterintuitive or even old-fashioned by modern standards, but humanity needs absolute truth. Without it, moral boundaries shift from generation to generation.
“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” (Numbers 23:19)
Despite generations of disobedience, God continues to extend His mercy, offering salvation through Jesus Christ. His love is relentless, but obedience is the key to a life of protection and powerful prayers. When we walk in obedience to biblical teachings, we remain under Christ’s divine covering—protected, guided, and strengthened to face life’s challenges.
Obedience or a Life of Destruction—The Choice Is Ours
“See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess… But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed.” (Deuteronomy 30:15-18a)
These Old Testament teachings remain relevant today. Yet, through Jesus, obedience has become even more attainable. Faith in Christ and His resurrection secures our eternal future, and through the Holy Spirit, we receive the power to live according to God’s will. As believers, the Holy Spirit works in our hearts, drawing us toward righteousness. While we may still falter, a pure heart that seeks to follow Jesus is met with grace and guidance, free from condemnation.
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
God’s Relentless Love Leads to Our Purpose and Blessings
Noah exemplifies obedience. Though he had never seen rain, he trusted God and built the ark. His faith preserved not only his own life but also the lives of his family. Our obedience to God similarly ensures His protection over us and our loved ones.
“If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” (Psalm 91:9-11)
Life offers two paths: we can rely on human understanding or surrender to the Lord, seeking His wisdom through Scripture. Ultimately, this is a choice between following God or following the enemy—there is no middle ground.
“See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse—the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today…” (Deuteronomy 11:26-28a)
God’s love is relentless. He desires to bless us, yet He grants us free will to choose our path. Will we obey and experience the fullness of His blessings, or turn away and settle for less than what He intends for us? Choosing God means choosing life.
