Salvation Is Two Fold

Salvation is not simply a one-time event; it is a continuous, daily climb of faith. The word “salvation” comes from the Hebrew term “sozo,” meaning deliverance, preservation, healing, and well-being. While most Christians understand that salvation grants us eternal life in heaven through Jesus Christ, many do not realize that salvation is also a daily process.

Paul emphasizes this in Philippians 2:12:

“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.”

This verse highlights the necessity of daily obedience to God’s Word, even when it challenges us. Our climb of faith often brings moments of fear and trembling, yet, I have found that it was through these trials that I have experienced God’s deliverance through my everyday problems and thus my faith increased. And this is God goal for all of us. Our faith is not passive, it is active. It is doing as God said, and resting in the fact that He will indeed come thorugh for us as the perfect time. Usually, I have noticed, it is when we are about to give up!

The Goal of Salvation: Bringing Heaven to Earth

The ultimate purpose of Christ’s sacrifice is not just to bring humanity to heaven but to bring heaven to earth through our prayer life.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” (John 15:7-8)

Abiding in Christ means aligning our thoughts, actions, and prayers with His Word. When we base our prayers on Scripture, we gain access to God’s power, overcoming every challenge life presents. This is the essence of daily salvation—trusting God moment by moment while praying His Word back to Him. Every Word of the Lord displayed in the bible promises have the power of God within it. When we fearfully take a verse and stand on it and wait until it comes to fruition we are exhibiting a situational salvation.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”(Is 55:11)

Jesus’ Name Means Justice and Salvation

Jesus’ name signifies justice and salvation. His blood was shed to grant us a close relationship with God, providing provision, protection, and power over Satan’s tactics.

“When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” (John 19:30)

This declaration signified His victory over sin and every problem we would face. Because of Jesus, our sins are washed away, and we stand before God as pure. Without Him as our mediator, we would face God’s wrath. But through Christ, God sees us as white as snow.

“We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will.” (John 9:31)

Accepting Jesus as our Savior means embracing Him as our mediator, our “filter” between us and God. Through Him, we have the ability to be saved through our daily problems if we choose to stand on His promises.

Faith in Action: Joseph’s Example

Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, exemplified working out salvation with fear and trembling. When the angel told him to take Mary as his wife, despite knowing he was not the biological father, Joseph had to act in faith.

“But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ‘Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins.'” (Matthew 1:20-21)

Joseph’s obedience was an act of faith, demonstrating that salvation is a continuous journey of trusting God’s plans over our fears. Trusting God in difficult situations requires stepping out in faith rather than relying on human solutions. As believers, we must resist the temptation to control outcomes and instead surrender to God’s direction, knowing He works all things for our good.

Faith in Action: The Example of Tithing

One clear example of faith in action is the principle of tithing. The Bible instructs believers to tithe, first seen when Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek in Genesis. Jacob also tithed in Genesis 28. The command does not say, “Tithe if you have extra money.” Instead, God calls us to obedience, using our faith to unlock His salvation in this area of provision.

For many, tithing induces fear and trembling—writing a check while worrying about college funds, retirement savings, or monthly bills. Yet God challenges us to trust Him completely. When we obey, He demonstrates His faithfulness, showing His power and trustworthiness.

Abraham’s Example: Climbing Higher in Faith And Working Out His Salvation

Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac is a powerful example of walking out a daily act of being saved by God. Though filled with uncertainty and fear, he obeyed God’s instructions, proving his unwavering trust.

Likewise, we must trust God completely, without a backup plan, climbing higher in our faith walk. The greater our faith, the greater God’s reward.

Conclusion: Daily Salvation Through Faith

Salvation is not just about eternity; it is about experiencing God’s provision, protection, and power every day. We work out our salvation through faith, obedience, and reliance on His promises. By trusting God fully, we unlock His divine blessings and live a life of peace, contentment, and fulfillment.

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5)

God desires to lead us into a life of abundance—not necessarily in material wealth, but in joy, security, and peace. The more we trust Him, the more we experience His faithfulness. Choose today to work out your salvation with faith, trusting that God’s way is always the best way.
